We don’t often need a coffee table, but we do often need more leg room on the couch or more seating, so a coffee table that stows away under an ottoman made a lot of sense. Here is what I came up with. When the coffee table is not needed, it can sit upside down and the ottoman fits snuggly inside. This saves precious space in our small living room. The ottoman ends up being the same height as the couch, so we can lay out across the ottoman from the couch in comfort.
